Measure length × width for each rectangle, add areas, then add 5–10% waste for cuts and edges. Irregular yards: break into rectangles or use total measured area.
How many square feet are on a pallet of sod?
Often about 450–500 sq ft, but farms differ. Default here is 500 — edit pallet coverage to match your quote.
Should I order extra sod for waste?
Yes. Curves and bed edges eat rolls. 5–10% is typical; complex shapes may need more.
How do I convert square feet to square yards?
Divide by 9. One square yard = 9 square feet.
